Drive a Tesla Roadster with your iPhone

Tesla Roadster is the first electric supercar. It has a fantastic performance and it is also a very beautiful car. Tesla Motors claims that their roadter is one of the most efficient EV in the market. The car specs shows a stonning 235 miles range (almost 400 kms). Is that possible?

You can test it simulating the Tesla Roadster with iEV for iPhone with the following instructions:

  1. Open iEV and tap on Configuration, if you still don’t have the app, you can buy it in the App Store.
  2. Tap on “Configuration Level” and select advanced.
  3. Tap on “Car Weight” and move the slider to 1235 kg or 2723 lbs.
  4. Tap on “Air Drag Coefficient” and move the slider to 0.35 Cx.
  5. Tap on “Car Area” and move the slider to 2.086 sq. meters or 22.45 sq. feet.

Now tap on “Home”, go to your current car and start driving. After a few days using iEV, you will see your driving profile. How much battery would you need if you drive a Tesla Roadster? Is it less than 56 kWh? If it is less, then you can buy and drive the roadster without being afraid of running out of battery in the middle of your day.

Driving Tesla by i-phone is something new to me and is also an interesting tech. As far as Tesla is what we are speaking about, it is a fine processed car which has a 4v pole electric motor, which is good enough to produce 248HP.
