Electric vehicles are the next logical step in the development of private and public transportation. Since electricity is the most efficient form of energy, it’s no surprise that electric powered vehicles (EV’s) are seen by most as the future of motoring. 

Electric cars are really superior in many things, like:

• They run 100% clean when powered with renewable energy sources. This can’t be achieved with combustion cars.
• Even when most of the energy production is still powered with non-renewable fuels, an electric car is much cleaner, since the power plants are much more efficient producing energy than a combustion car.
• They are quiet, since you don’t have X-thousands explosions per minute (this is what you have in a normal car, explosions).
• They have more torque. The experience when driving an EV is amazing. Everyone loves it, because of the torque. Torque is responsible for acceleration. Power is responsible for maximum speed. The ratio torque to power is much better with electric motors, what means that you can have “downsizing” in power (compared to petrol cars) and still have the same or even more acceleratio, which means pure fun!
• Electric motors are much simpler than engines, since they have less moving parts and require less cooling power. They are also cheaper.
• They are energy efficient, which means that they need less energy to drive. Petrol cars waste at least 70% to 80 % of their fuel energy as heat. They only use 20 to 30% for the actual movement. EV’s are at 80 % efficiency, with the potential to go towards 90 % in the near future soon.
